Abstract:
An NMR apparatus usable in the mass spectrometry/structure determination of gas sample, comprising sample vaporization unit (1) equipped with sample vaporization compartment (1a); ionization unit (2) equipped with ionization compartment (2a) and connected to one end of the sample vaporization unit (1) so that the ionization compartment (2a) communicates with the sample vaporization compartment (1a); long tube unit (3) connected to one end of the ionization unit (2) so that the interior thereof communicates with the ionization compartment (2a); cooling unit (4) equipped with cooling compartment (4a) and connected to one end of the long tube unit (3) so that the cooling compartment (4a) communicates with the interior of the long tube unit (3); superconducting magnet (5) equipped with pipe portion (5a) allowing passage of the long tube unit (3) therethrough and capable of applying magnetic field and gradient magnetic field in the axial direction of the long tube unit (3); ion guide (6) for deceleration of gas ion; mass spectrometry unit (7) for use in mass sorting of gas ion; and nuclear magnetic force amplification unit (8) for amplification of the nuclear magnetic force of gas ion.
