This gas separation membrane, which selectively transmits specific gas components, includes a first porous layer and a separation function layer provided on a first surface of the first porous layer. The separation function layer contains a hydrophilic resin. The wet tensile strength of the first layer is 38-52 mN/m (inclusive).
