Abstract:
Provided is a gas shielded arc welding control method providing excellent bead appearance while suppressing the generation of sputter when molten droplets become detached, without short circuiting the molten droplets and a molten pool. This gas shielded arc welding control method of controlling a welding current by detecting the time at which a molten droplet becomes detached from the tip end of a welding wire includes a step of providing a normal arc period during which the welding current is maintained at a set current Icc, and a step of providing a detachment control period during which the welding current is controlled under prescribed conditions, after the time at which the molten droplet becomes detached has been detected in the normal arc period. During the detachment control period, at least any one short circuit prevention control is performed from among (a) prescribed output voltage control, (b) prescribed feed speed control, and (c) prescribed gas ratio control.
