Abstract:
A gas shutoff device is disclosed. The disclosed gas shutoff device is a gas shutoff device installed in a kitchen, which has a gas stove installed therein, so as to supply the gas stove with gas or to shut the same off, characterized by comprising: a temperature measuring module installed on a kitchen side wall, on which the gas stove is installed, above the gas stove at a predetermined distance therefrom so as to detect the temperature of a cooking object inside a pot placed over a burner of the gas stove; a human body sensing sensor installed on the ceiling of the kitchen behind the gas stove at a predetermined distance therefrom so as to sense a human body, which exists within a predetermined area from the gas stove, and to output a human body sensing signal; a gas valve installed on a gas supply tube, through which gas is supplied to the gas stove, so as to electrically allow/block the flow of gas; and a control unit installed on one side of the kitchen and electrically connected to the temperature measuring module, the human body sensing sensor, and the gas valve in a wired/wireless communication type, the control unit being configured such that, when the temperature measured by the temperature measuring module reaches a preset temperature, and when no human body is sensed by the human body sensing sensor, a warning sound is output, and, when no human body is sensed by the human body sensing sensor for a predetermined period of time, the gas valve is shut off.
