Abstract:
Disclosed is a gas turbine engine (1) that combusts, with a combustor (3), compressed air (CA) compressed by a compressor (2), and drives a turbine (5) by a high-temperature, high-pressure combustion gas (G) which has been generated, the gas turbine engine comprising: bearing chambers (7, 8) respectively housing bearings supporting an engine rotary shaft (6); a low-pressure air supply path (11) that supplies the compressed air (CA) to the bearing chambers (7, 8) from a low-pressure-stage side of the compressor (2); a high-pressure air supply path (12) that supplies the compressed air (CA) to the bearing chambers (7, 8) from a high-pressure-stage side of the compressor (2); and a switching mechanism (17) capable of switching between the low-pressure air supply path (11) and the high-pressure air supply path (12).
