Abstract:
A gas turbine engine system, which is capable of attaining high efficiency while using sunlight as a heat source, is provided. The gas turbine engine system (E) is provided with: a compressor (1) that compresses a first working medium (M1); a heater (3) that heats the compressed first working medium by means of an external heat source; a turbine (5) that extracts power from the first working medium; and an intercooler (9) that is provided to the compressor (1), and cools the first working medium, which has been compressed by a low-pressure compression unit (1a) of the compressor, and supplies the first working medium to a high-pressure compression unit of the compressor; The gas turbine engine system (E) is further provided with an organic Rankine cycle engine (RU1) that uses organic matter, which is the cooling medium of the intercooler (9), as a second working medium (M2).
