Abstract:
When the concentration of a gas is low or when a range in which the gas is present in an infrared image is large, a gas cloud image and a visible image of the background are displayed so that the presence/absence of the gas and the location where the gas is leaking are easily determined. This gas visualization image processing apparatus (10) is characterized by comprising: an image acquisition unit (IN) that acquires a visible image obtained by photographing, by means of a visible camera, a space including an object to be inspected and an inspection image obtained by photographing the space in parallel with the visible image by means of an infrared camera; a gas region extraction unit (14) that extracts an image of a gas cloud that is present in the space from the inspection image and generates a gas cloud image; and an image synthesis unit (16) that generates a gas cloud superimposed image by superimposing the visible image and the gas cloud image, wherein the image synthesis unit superimposes a target image and the gas cloud image so that a viewer can recognize the background of the gas cloud image from the gas cloud superimposed image.
