Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to make it difficult for a gap to occur between die segments of a mold during mold closure even if there is variation in the thickness of a reinforcing member, thereby limiting the occurrence of burrs and increased variation in gasket thickness due to the gap. To achieve said purpose, a gasket comprises a gasket body obtained from a rubber-like elastic material and a reinforcing member obtained from a material of higher rigidity than the gasket body. The gasket body comprises a flat plate-shaped base united with a sealing part that is provided on a width direction edge of the base. The reinforcing member is formed in a flat plate shape, the thickness of which is set to be less than the thickness of the base, and is embedded in the base so that a surface is exposed on one surface of the base in the thickness direction. The reinforcing member is provided with a positioning hole for positioning the said reinforcing member on a plane with respect to the mold for molding the gasket body.
