A gate (1) for a vehicle of this disclosure is formed hollow and covered by an inner panel (2) and an outer panel (3) that face each other, and is provided so as to be able to open the passenger compartment to the outside of the vehicle and maintain a closed state. The gate (1) for a vehicle comprises: a bracket (10) that is provided in the hollow interior and that extends in the thickness direction of the gate (1) for a vehicle toward the outer panel (3) on the outside of the vehicle; and an input device (9) that has a switch (7) operated to release the closed state, that is disposed near an opening part (6) bored in any one of the upper, lower, left, and right end surfaces surrounding the gate (1) for a vehicle, and that is fixed to the bracket (10). The bracket (10) has a first inclined surface part (11) that is formed in a surface form inclined in a direction away from the end surface toward the outer panel (3) side in the thickness direction, and that faces the opening part (6). The input device (9) is fixed to the first inclined surface part (11) when the switch (7) has been oriented toward the end surface side.
