Abstract:
Provided is a geared compressor capable of reducing unstable vibrations of a driven shaft. This geared compressor 1 is provided with an accelerating gear mechanism 2 with a bearing 20 for rotatably supporting a driven shaft 5, and impellers 8 and 9 fixed to the driven shaft 5. The bearing 20 has multiple bearing pads 21 provided in the circumferential direction and pivots 25 for supporting each of the multiple bearing pads 21. The geared compressor is characterized in that the positional relationship between the line of action of the force F, which results from the load F1 due to the dead weight of the driven shaft 5 on the bearing 20 and the gear tangential force F2 due to contact between a driving gear 4 and a driven gear 6, and the support point of a bearing pad 21 by a pivot 25 is constant.
