Abstract:
This gel composition contains an amphipathic block polymer having a hydrophilic block chain and a hydrophobic block chain. An organogel is obtained by mixing the amphipathic block polymer with an organic solvent, and a xerogel is produced by removing the organic solvent from the organogel. A hydrogel is produced by mixing the xerogel with water or an aqueous solution. A hydrogel including cells can also be produced by mixing the xerogel with an aqueous solution such as a cell culture liquid or the like, the aqueous solution containing cells to be cultured.
