Provided in the present invention are a geophysical exploration system for pollutants in a refuse landfill, and a method therefor. The geophysical exploration system comprises an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism comprises a bottom frame and a rotating component, wherein connecting shafts are rotatably connected to opposite outer surfaces of two sides of the bottom frame, one end of each rotating shaft is fixedly connected to a rotating plate, an outer surface of one side of each rotating plate is fixedly connected to a moving air-cylinder, and the rotating component is arranged on the bottom frame. During use of the present invention, according to the actual condition of an exploration site, when the terrain of the exploration site is relatively complex, an adjusting electric motor is controlled to be started, such that the adjusting electric motor can effectively drive a corresponding rotating rod to rotate by means of driving a bevel gear and a linkage bevel gear; and the rotating rod, which is rotating, can effectively drive a corresponding linkage shaft to rotate by means of a worm gear and a worm; and the linkage shaft, which is rotating, can effectively drive a corresponding moving threaded rod to rotate by means of a first bevel gear and a second bevel gear.
