Abstract:
Disclosed are a gesture recognition method, an electronic device, a computer-readable storage medium, and a chip, relating to the field of artificial intelligence, and in particular to human-computer interaction technology in the field of computer vision. The gesture recognition method comprises: acquiring an image stream, and determining, according to multiple consecutive frames of hand images in the image stream, whether a user has made a preparatory action; insofar as the user has made a preparatory action, continuing to acquire the image stream, and determining, according to the multiple consecutive frames of hand images in the continuously acquired image stream, a gesture action of the user; and then responding to the gesture action to realize gesture interaction with the user. According to the method, a preparatory action is determined before gesture recognition is performed; therefore, mis-recognition during a gesture recognition process can be reduced, thus improving a gesture recognition effect.
