Abstract:

A gesture recognition method and a related apparatus. A first point cloud data set is obtained by performing screening on an original point cloud data set collected by a radar apparatus. The first point cloud data set comprises a plurality of first point cloud data sub-sets, wherein each of the first point cloud data sub-sets comprises a first clustering center; the first clustering center is the clustering center of a plurality of pieces of point cloud data in the first point cloud data sub-set; the maximum horizontal distance between any two first clustering centers meets a first preset condition; and a time duration of the first point cloud data set meets the first preset condition. Point cloud data having a movement trajectory which is inconsistent with a gesture movement can be effectively filtered out. Gesture recognition is performed by using the first point cloud data set obtained after being subjected to screening, such that a false trigger probability can be reduced, thereby improving the human-machine interaction experience of a user.
