Abstract:
This glass article manufacturing method comprises: a supplying step for supplying glass raw material 4 onto molten glass 2 stored in a melting chamber 3 of a glass melting furnace 1; a melting step for heating and melting the supplied glass raw material 4; and an outflowing step for causing the molten glass 2 to flow out of the melting chamber 3. The glass raw material 4 supplied from each of two adjacent screw feeders 5, 5 from among the plurality of screw feeders 5 is extended in parallel flows on the molten glass 2 with a gap therebetween, and the glass raw material 4 is heated and melted with only an electrode 8 and an electrode 9 immersed in the molten glass 2 inside the melting chamber 3.
