Title:
GLASS CLOTH, PREPREG, AND GLASS FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/039582
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention is a glass cloth structured from a warp and a weft that are glass yarns obtained by bundling 30-44 glass filaments with an equivalent circular diameter of 3.0-4.4 μm. The weave density of the warp and the weft is 85-125 strands per 25 mm. At least one of the warp and the weft is a flat glass yarn structured from flat glass filaments, and the weave density thereof is 100 strands or less per 25 mm. The flat glass filaments have a long diameter DL of 3.3-6.0 μm and a short diameter DS of 2.0-3.9 μm, and the flat glass yarn has a twist count T of 0.70 times or less per 25 mm. The number F of flat glass filaments making up the flat glass yarn, the twist count T, the long diameter DL, and the short diameter DS satisfy the expression indicated below. Consequently, workability and manufacturing efficiency can be improved, and the occurrence of pinholes in even a thin prepreg can be suppressed. Expression (1): 89.0≤F×(DL×(1-T1/2)+DS×T1/2)/(DL/DS)≤129.0
