Abstract:
The present invention provides a glass composition having a low density and a specific elastic modulus that is high enough to suppress deflection. This glass composition contains, in terms of mol%, 60-75% of SiO2, 5-15% of Al2O3, 0.5-5% of MgO, 0.5-10% of CaO, 5-20% of Li2O, 2-10% of Na2O and 0-5% of K2O as components thereof and has a density of 2.48 g/cm3 or less. The specific elastic modulus of this glass composition is, for example, 33.5×106 Nm/kg or higher.
