Abstract:

The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide: a glass panel unit assembly in which the yield of a glass panel unit can be improved; and a method for manufacturing a glass panel unit. The assembly is provided with multiple partitions (420) each of which can partition an internal space surrounded by a pair of glass substrates that face each other and a frame-like peripheral wall arranged between the pair of glass substrates into an exhaust space and a ventilation space. The multiple partitions (420) include a first partition (420) and a second partition (420) which have different length directions from each other. An end part (423) of the second partition (420) faces a side part (424) of the first partition (420) leaving a predetermined distance therebetween. A space formed between the end part (423) of the second partition (420) and the side part (424) of the first partition (420) serves as a ventilation passage (600) for exhausting the exhaust space through an exhaust port. The second partition (420) has, at the end part (423) thereof, a protruded part (425) that protrudes on the exhaust space side at least in the width direction of the second partition (420).
