Abstract:
This glass plate manufacturing method includes: alternately arranging an original glass plate 7 and a protective sheet 8 in a vertical attitude so as to produce a laminated body; taking out the original glass plate 7 and the protective sheet 8 from a laminated body 9; cutting the glass original plate 7 in a state where the glass original plate 7 is stacked on the protective sheet 8 in a horizontal mounted attitude so as to divide said original glass plate into a glass plate 13 and an unnecessary part 14; and thereafter removing the unnecessary part 14 from the protective sheet 8. When the original glass plate 7 is cut, the shape of the protective sheet 8 on one side is configured to cause a corner part 7d of the original glass plate 7 on one side to project from the protective sheet 8, and said one side is the upper side of the original glass plate 7 and the protective sheet 8 when both of 7 and 8 were in the vertical attitude.
