Abstract:
A glass plate production device 1 comprises: a melting furnace 2 for producing melted glass Gm by heating a glass raw material; a clarification pipe 5 made of a noble metal for performing a clarification process on the melted glass Gm produced by the melting furnace 2; and a formation means 4 for using the melted glass Gm, which has been subjected to the clarification process, to form a glass ribbon Gr, wherein the clarification pipe 5 is inclined so as to be higher with increasing distance downstream, and such that the inclination angle α of the clarification pipe 5 with respect to the horizontal axis is 0.25° to 5°.
