The present invention addresses the technical problem of providing a glass roll that is capable of preventing oblique movement or one-sided slackening in a strip-shaped glass film when the roll is used in a roll-to-roll form. The present invention is a glass roll (1) constituted by a strip-shaped glass film (2), in which wrinkles (5) are formed, wrapped into a roll, wherein: the strip-shaped glass film (2) comprises an effective section (6) in which one side edge (2g) and another side edge (2h) in the widthwise direction extend in parallel, and in which a leading part (6a) and an end part (6b) thereof each extend parallel to the widthwise direction of the strip-shaped glass film (2); and when the length from the leading part (6a) to the end part (6b) along a surface (2f) of the effective section (6) is measured along each of a first position (P1) along the one side edge (2g) and a second position (P2) along the other side edge (2h) of the strip-shaped glass film (2), the difference between a first-side measured length L1 and a second-side measured length L2 is 400 ppm or less than the measured length of the longer of the two measured lengths L1, L2.
