Title:
GOLF PUTTER FOR FRONT PUTTING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/002683
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a golf putter for front putting, and particularly, to a golf putter for front putting, comprising: a grip which is formed into a cylindrical trapezoidal shape to enable a golfer to putt in the front direction of his/her body; a shaft connected in a lengthwise direction from the bottom of the grip; and a head unit having an H-shaped frame, a portion of the upper surface of which is coupled to the bottom of the shaft. The head unit of the golf putter for front putting according to the present invention has a hitting surface formed in the same direction as the front direction of the body of the golfer. The head unit comprises: a bottom surface; support rods arranged in the vertical direction at the left and right sides of the bottom surface; a ball-hitting portion vertically formed at a portion of the front of said bottom surface; a hitting surface formed at one side of the ball-hitting portion; connection protrusions formed at the inner surface of the ball-hitting portion, wherein the inner surface is perpendicular to said bottom surface; a frame coupled to the connection protrusions; and connection members which penetrate through the frame and are connected to the respective connection protrusions. The golf putter of the present invention enables the golfer to putt in the front of his/her body, and thus enables the golfer to accurately aim the rolling direction of the ball. The golf putter of the present invention enables the golfer to hold the grip with one of his/her hands on the upper portion thereof at the front thereof, and the other hand on the lower portion thereof at the back thereof, thus enabling the golfer to adjust his/her force appropriately and providing an ergonomic feeling in terms of grip and improving the accuracy of hitting the ball. In addition, the hitting surface has ㄷ-shaped embossments which are repeatedly formed to enable a no-load rotation of the golf ball immediately after being hit, thus improving elasticity in ball flight and providing effectiveness in long-distance flight. Further, the head unit is prevented from being warped as the head unit has the H-shaped frame, thereby providing the effects of maintaining an accurate ball-hitting point.
