Abstract:
Provided are a grain separation device and a grain separation method capable of minimizing the amount of grain such as rice that is mixed in with foreign matter and discharged from a foreign matter outlet. The grain separation device comprises a permeable slanted perforated plate 13 that is supported, so as to be able to oscillate, in a slanted orientation in which the grain outlet side is low and the foreign matter outlet side 12 to discharge foreign matter such as rocks is high, a grain supply channel 14 that supplies grain to be separated onto the slanted perforated plate 13, and a separation chamber 15 that is formed on the slanted perforated plate 13. The device is provided with an air suction device to suction air inside the separation chamber 15 so that the air is guided into the separation chamber 15 from below to above through the slanted perforated plate 13, and by suctioning air A inside the separation chamber 15 with the air suction device, even air A passing through the foreign object outlet 12 is suctioned into the separation chamber 15 and the flow of the grain X inside the separation chamber 15 into the foreign object outlet 12 is regulated.
