Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a grease composition which has extremely excellent oil film formability at high temperatures and extremely excellent low torque properties at low temperatures in a balanced manner, while having excellent stability of thermal oxidation resistance. [Solution] A grease composition which contains 10-98% by mass of (A) a lubricant base oil that has a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 1-14 mm2/s, a viscosity index of 100 or more and a pour point of 0°C or less, 89-1% by mass of (B) a liquid random copolymer of ethylene and an α-olefin, said random copolymer being produced using a specific catalyst, and 1-30% by mass of (C) a thickening agent (with the total of (A), (B) and (C) being 100% by mass), and which is configured such that the lubricant base oil (A) and the copolymer (B) are blended at such a ratio at which a mixture of the lubricant base oil (A) and the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer (B) has a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 1-500 mm2/s and a viscosity index of 120 or more.
