Abstract:
The invention provides a grease composition for motor rolling bearings that supports the rotor of a motor, which comprises a pentaerythritol ester base oil with a kinematic viscosity at 40°C of 20 - 55 mm2/s and 7 - 13 mass% of a diurea thickener represented by formula (A), and comprises a rust inhibitor selected from the group consisting of polyhydric alcohol ester rust inhibitors and organic sulfonate rust inhibitors:

(In the formula, R2 represents a C6-15 divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group. R1 and R3 represent cyclohexyl groups or straight or branched C16-20 alkyl groups, and the ratio of the number of moles of cyclohexyl groups to the total number of moles of cyclohexyl groups and straight or branched C16-20 alkyl groups [{(no. of cyclohexyl groups)/(no. of cyclohexyl groups + no. of straight or branched C16-20 alkyl groups)} × 100] is 60 - 90 mol%.) This grease composition limits the occurrence of unusual noises at low temperature, satisfies requirements for low torque over a broad temperature range, has long bearing lubrication life even at high temperatures, and has excellent resistance to varnish corrosion.
