Title:
GRIP FOR A GOLF PUTTER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/070697
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a grip for a golf putter. In the grip for a golf putter of the present invention, a triangular supporting projection having a concave curved form that corresponds to and fits closely against the convex curved surface of the base of a golfer's left-hand or right-hand thumb is either integrally injection moulded or detachably constituted in such a way as to allow the adoption of a stance of a straightened linear form from the back of the hand via the wrist to the cuff, with complete close support without any space between the palm of the hand and the grip in an ergonomical fashion in the end portion of the grip where the left hand or the right hand is positioned. Also, in another embodiment of the present invention, a triangular supporting projection having a concave curved form that corresponds to and fits closely against the convex curved surface of the base of a golfer's left-hand or right-hand thumb is formed as a detachable structure in such a way as to allow the adoption of a stance of a straightened linear form from the back of the hand via the wrist to the cuff, with complete close support without any space between the palm of the hand and the grip in an ergonomical fashion in the end portion of the grip where the left hand or the right hand is positioned, and the triangular supporting projection is subjected to injection moulding so as to surround and incorporate a resilient material, and is constituted with a class-operating configuration by forming a fastening recess in the lower end thereof such that the fastening recess is expanded and restored via the resilient action of the resilient material during compression/release of the triangular supporting projection. Consequently, the present invention is outstandingly advantageous in that, inter alia, it allows the adoption of a stance of a straightened linear form from the back of the hand via the wrist to the cuff, with complete close support without any space between the palm of the hand and the grip in an ergonomical fashion when holding the grip of the putter and, at the same time, it prevents the phenomenon of wrist bending which impedes accurate strokes when putting thereby, and thus consistent putting work can be carried out.
