Abstract:

In a conventional gripping device for medical use, when the wall surface of an in vivo tissue has a large tear, the dripping device can grip one side of the tear but cannot simultaneously grip said side and the other side facing said side. Accordingly, to close the tear, complex operations are needed using multiple gripping devices. A gripping device comprising a fixed clip, a pair of movable clips which consists of an elastic material, is provided so as to face the fixed clip, and has lower ends fixed to the fixed clip and the other ends open, and the gripping device also comprising a control mechanism which can shift from each other the timing at which an object to be gripped is gripped between one of the movable clips and the fixed clip and the timing at which the object to be gripped is gripped between the other movable clip and the fixed clip.
