Abstract:
Provided is a gripping device capable of gripping an object so as to clamp at least three protrusions provided on the object and capable of reliable gripping even when positional deviations occur in the protrusions. In the gripping device (1), a fixed gripping section (2) brings a pair of gripping members (10, 20) towards each other and clamps each of two protrusions (104A, 106A) of a workpiece (100) by means of two pressing parts (12A, 12B) of one gripping member (10) and two pressing parts (22A, 22B) of the other gripping member (20). A movable gripping section (4) is provided with a pair of support parts (14, 34) that approach each other in conjunction with the approaching movement of the pair of gripping members (10, 20) and clamps a protrusion (108A) by means of the support parts (14, 34). For one of the support parts (34), positional change with respect to the two pressing parts (22A, 22B) of the gripping member (20) is allowed. When clamping the protrusion (108A), an external elastic force is added and continuously presses the protrusion (108A).
