Abstract:
A gripping tool (1) grips a blood vessel into which a catheter has been inserted. The gripping tool (1) comprises a first gripping member (10) and a second gripping member (20). The first gripping member (10) and the second gripping member (20) can rotate between a closed state in which a first gripping surface (13) and a second gripping surface (23) approach each other, and an open state in which the first gripping surface (13) and the second gripping surface (23) separate from each other. Also, at least one of the first gripping surface (13) and the second gripping surface (23) has a gripping groove (14). The gripping groove (14) has a shape that traces the external shape of the catheter. Thus, the blood vessel into which the catheter has been inserted can be sandwiched between the first gripping member (10) and the second gripping member (20), and the catheter and the blood vessel can be gripped inside the gripping groove (14). Due to this configuration, the catheter can be fixed to the blood vessel without being bound by a thread.
