Abstract:
This ground penetrating radar device 1 is moved by human power and has three wheels 11A-11 respectively having axles that are at 120 degree angles from each other and that each have an encoder 12A-12C attached thereto. A control unit 14 calculates a movement direction, movement distance, movement speed vector, and turning vector for the ground penetrating radar device 1 from the rotation amounts measured by the encoders 12A-12C. A measurement unit 15 uses radio waves to locate an object buried underground. A storage unit 17 stores a two-dimensional measurement data set associating the position information and movement direction for the ground penetrating radar device 1 calculated by the control unit 14 with measurement data from the radar measurement unit, and a display unit 18 displays, in a superimposed manner, the measurement data and an installation map that is stored in a database 16 and shows the buried position of the underground structure.
