A work machine (1) that performs a work by using a work unit (1a) while running, or a management system incorporating the work machine (1) is provided with: a running information generation unit (31) that generates running information indicating a running state over time; a work information generation unit (41) that generates work information indicating a work state by the work unit (1a) over time; a running evaluation unit (90c) that categorizes the running of the work machine into non-work running and actual work running on the basis of the running information and the work information; and a data visualization unit (90d) that generates visualization data for visualizing the result of categorization by the running evaluation unit (90c).
