Abstract:
A GTAW welding system suitable for ultra-narrow gaps, comprising an argon arc welding power supply, a TIG welding gun, a welding trolley, a wire feeding apparatus and a gas protection apparatus (3); the TIG welding gun comprises a rotating motor, a rotating tungsten electrode (6), a conduction system and a gas supply system, the rotating motor driving the rotating tungsten electrode to rotate via a central rotating shaft, the rotating tungsten electrode being a non-axisymmetric tungsten electrode, the conduction system being used for connecting to the argon arc welding power supply and providing electric power, the gas supply system being used for providing a protective gas inside the welding gun; the TIG welding gun is fixedly arranged on the welding trolley, and the welding trolley drives the TIG welding gun to move; the wire feeding apparatus synchronously moves with the welding gun; the gas protection apparatus is a housing, which covers a workpiece to be welded. Also provided is a welding method. The welding system and the welding method are suitable for ultra-narrow gaps less than 6mm, stable arc burning is performed during welding, side walls are effectively fused, and heat input may be reduced. The welding system and the welding method are suitable for all-position welding, and are highly practical.
