Abstract:
Disclosed are a guide robot and an operating method of the guide robot. When a monitoring function is activated, the guide robot according to the present disclosure may monitor the surroundings by adaptively varying a driving path for monitoring on the basis of information about a state of the robot or a state of a driving space, instead of running a monitoring area only in a determined driving path. Also, when an event that require additional monitoring is recognized, the additional monitoring may be performed by deviating from the monitoring area and an appropriate reaction may be actively performed according to a result of the additional monitoring.
