Abstract:

A guide sheath is configured so that the guide sheath is inserted in a human body by being guided by an instrument having been introduced into the human body and so that the guide sheath has a channel through which a medical instrument can be inserted in order to guide the distal end of the medical instrument to a destination part. The guide sheath is provided with: a long axis member which is extended along the longitudinal axis; and section to be bent which has soft sections having predetermined bending rigidity and which also has hard sections disposed alternately with the soft sections along the longitudinal direction and having higher bending rigidity than the soft sections, the section to be bent being provided at the distal end of the long axis member and being configured so that, in order to be bent by external force, the section to be bent protrudes from the distal end of the instrument having been introduced into the human body.
