Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of crumpling and energy absorption, and specifically provides a guided crumpling and energy absorbing device and a frame for a power distribution unit (PDU) of an electric vehicle. The present invention aims to resolve an issue of the prior art in which a crumple structure of the vehicle body is unable to achieve a desired crumpling effect. For this purpose, the guided crumpling and energy absorbing device of the present invention comprises a first crumple component and a second crumple component connected together by a connecting member, and a limiting component disposed at one end of the first crumple component close to the second crumple component, wherein at least one of the first crumple component and the second crumple component has a bending structure. When the first crumple component and the second crumple component are pressed together by a force, one end of the second crumple component can be disconnected from the first crumple component and moved in a longitudinal direction of the first crumple component to a position abutting the limiting component, such that the first crumple component and/or the second crumple component are bent in a preset direction by means of the bending structure. Therefore, the guided crumpling and energy absorbing device of the present invention can achieve a desired crumpling effect under an external force.
