Abstract:
A one-pack type or multi-pack type hair cosmetic which comprises components (A)-(D) and is to be applied to the hair in such a manner that the molar ratio [(B)+(C)]/(A) does not exceed 2.5:
(A) one or more kinds of compounds selected from among glyoxylic acid, glyoxylic acid hydrate, a glyoxylic acid salt and glyoxylamide;
(B) a phenol compound having an electron donating group at least at one meta-position and H at ortho- and/or para-positions (provided that the electron donating group at the meta-position may form a benzene ring together with the C atom adjacent thereto, said benzene ring being optionally substituted by OH);
(C) one or more members selected from compounds represented by formula (3) [wherein: Q represents a C2-5 polymethylene group optionally substituted by COOH, or C=O; and T1 and T2 independently represent H or a C1-5 alkyl group optionally substituted by OH, or T1 and T2 are bonded to each other to give a C2-5 polymethylene group which forms a ring together with -NH-Q-NH-]; and
(D) water.
