Abstract:
A hair dryer (100) is provided with a housing (1), a fan (6), a heater (7), and an ion generation unit (10). The housing (1) has an airflow path (90) in which an inlet (4) and an outlet (5) are formed, and which leads from the inlet (4) to the outlet (5). The fan (6) is disposed on the airflow path (90) and generates air flow. The heater (7) is disposed on the airflow path (90) and heats air flowing in the airflow path (90). The ion generation unit (10) is disposed so that the longitudinal direction (L3) of the same intersects the direction (L1) of the airflow path. The ion generation unit (10) has, on a surface along the longitudinal direction (L3), a discharge electrode (11) for generating ions. The housing (1) additionally has an ion path (91) which is formed along a direction (L3) that intersects the direction (L1) of the airflow path and that is along the surface on which the discharge electrode (11) has been formed.
