HAIR-DYEING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/065840
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This invention is for the hair-dyeing device. The necessary dyeing fluid can be filled through the opening after separation of the hair dyeing fluid discharge outlet functioning as a lid from the body. After re-assembling of the hair dyeing fluid discharge outlet, No. 1 permanent magnet is assembled to the chamber in the body. You actuate the vibrator holding the handle and comb hairs with the comb in the hair dyeing fluid discharge outlet. Then, the dyeing fluid in the body is automatically discharged from pores in the comb teeth by attraction and repulsion generated from several magnets and vibration of the vibrator, and applied to hair only. By doing so, it prevents the user's skin and pollution from splash of the dyeing fluid to surrounding, and at the same time, disease due to skin contact to the dyeing fluid can be prevented.

Description:
HAIR-DYEING DEVICE technical Field This invention is for the hair-dyeing device. Details show that the dyeing fluid in the tank is automatically discharged from pores in the comb teeth by attraction and repulsion of the permanent magnets and vibration of the vibrator. The dyeing fluid can be applied evenly and only to hairs that you want to dye with out contacting skin, in other words, free from pollution.

Background Art General dyeing process is to apply a small amount of the dyeing fluid, a diluted mixture of dyeing material and neutralizer at certain ratio, to tooth brush, brush or combs. While you spread hairs little by little with another comb, you pull a dyeing fluid applied comb through hairs so that the dyeing fluid can be spread evenly.

However, when you comb hairs with the dyeing fluid applied comb like the above mentioned process, part of the dyeing fluid applied to the comb may contact the user's skin. It causes problems such as skin pollution and also skin damage due to hazardous dyeing fluid.

In addition, when you use the above mentioned dyeing process using the dyeing fluid applied tooth brush, brush or combs, part of the dyeing fluid splash to surrounding including the user's clothes, and can cause smear and pollution problems.

Disclosure of Invention This invention is intended to solve the existing problems mentioned above. You fill the dyeing fluid into the handle built-in cylindrical body and run a comb through hairs. Then, the dyeing fluid inside is automatically discharged from pores in the comb teeth by attraction and repulsion of the permanent magnets and vibration of the vibrator. The discharged dyeing fluid is applied to hairs only thus, preventing the user's skin and surrounding from splashing fluid, and disease due to the fluid contact to skin.

The above mentioned purpose of this invention can be achieved with the following component and operation.

The attached figures show technical details of the invention.

Figure 1 is the development of the hair-dyeing device Figure 2 is the section of part of the device.

Figure 3 is the development showing details of part of the comb.

The figures show that the body (1) is a cylindrical shape for a void tank (14) to contain the dyeing fluid. When you are forming the voide body (1), the inside volume of the tank (14) shall contain the dyeing fluid for one person at least to avoid cumbersome refill during hair dyeing process.

One end of the body (l) has an opening for smooth filling of the dyeing fluid and the dyeing fluid discharge outlet (4) is shaped to fit into the connecting neck (ll) to close the opening during hair-dyeing process.

The other end has the magnet chamber (12), which installs the

detachable No. 1 permanent magnet (5) The reason why No. 1 permanent magnet (5) is detachable and forming the chamber (12) instead of fixing on the other end of the body (1) is that when dyeing is not processing suh as filling of the dyeing fluid into the body (1), No. 1 permanent magnet (5) is seperated from the magnet chamber (12). it is to prevent magnetic forces (repulsion) of No. 1 permanent magnet (5) acting on No. 2 permanent magnet (6) in the body (1) from pussing the dyeing fluid in the body (l) to the opening and causing leak.

The air intake pore (13) at the bottom of other end is to allow airflow into the body (1) and free movement No. 2 permanent magnet (6) in the body (1) so that the dyeing fluid is automatically pushed to the dyeing fluid outlet (4).

When the hair-dyeing device is not operating, the air intake pore (13) is maintained closed by the operating bar (82) projected from one end of the operating lever (81) in the switch (8), which is at "OFF"position.

Even when repulsion forces work on No. 2 permanent magnet (6) by insertion of No. 1 permanent magnet (5) into the magnet chamber (12) in the body (1), no air intake through the air intake pore (13) is occurred.

Accordingly, vacuum is maintained inside the body (1) and pressure built up of No. 2 permanent magnet (6) is stopped, and therefore, the dying fluid in the body (1) is not discharged through the pore (43) in the teeth (42) of the dyeing fluid discharge outlet (4).

The front or rear side of the handle (2) which is built-up or detachable from the bottom of the body (l) has the battery chamber (22) which cover (21) and allows easy replacement of battery (9).

The top of the handle (2) has the built-up power switch (8), the operating lever (81) and the operating bar (82). The user has easy controls of the air intake pore (13) in the body (1) and battery power to motor (31) of the vibrator (3) through on/off controls of the power switch (8).

ON/OFF the power switch (8) controls not only the air intake pore (13) and also the vibrator (3). For example, pull down of the operating lever (81) of the power switch (8) makes the device at "ON"position.

The operating bar (82) is pulled away from the air intake pore (13) and the air intake pore (13) is open and at the same time, the motor is running by connecting battery (9) to vibrator (3).

When the opening lever (81) of the power switch (8) is pulled up to"OrF"position to stop operation, the free end of the operating bar (82) closes automatically the air intake pore (13) in the body (1) and at the same time, battery (9) is cut off.

The vibrator (3) has the eccentric rotor (32) fixed on axis of the motor (31) and is installed inside of the handle (2)."ON"position of the switch (8) supplies power from the battery (9) and generates vibration that is conveyed to No. 2 permanent magnet (6) installed in the body (l) through the handle (2) and the body (l). Friction forces generated between inside of the body (1) and out side of No. 2

permanent magnet (6) is offset by this vibration and No. 2 permanent magnet (6) adds pressure to the dyeing fluid for smooth movement to the dyeing fluid discharge outlet (4).

The dying fluid discharge outlet (4) fits into the connecting neck (Il) to close and outside of its cover has several projected and evenly spaced teeth (42) equipped with the dyeing fluid discharge pore (43).

With switch (8)"ON"holding the handle (2), you pull the comb teeth (42) in the dyeing fluid discharge outlet (4) through hairs just like nomal combing process. The dyeing fluid flow from the dyeing fluid discharge pore (43) in each tooth (42) is evenly applied to hairs to the speed of comb movement without touching skin.

The hand groove (51) is formed on one end of No. 1 detachable permanent magnet (5) that is installed in the magnet chamber (12) in the body (1). and generates repulsion to No. 2 permanent magnet (6) in the body (1). Hooking finger into the hand groove makes easy detachment and those who do not know about porality of the Nol permanent magnet. have to make the finger groove (51) positioned at out side of the magnet chamber (12) for detachment.

By doing so, inside of No. l permanent magnet (5) facing one side of No. 2 permanent magnet (6) have same polarity (N to N, S to S) and magnetic forces of No. 1 and No. 2 permanent magnet (5) (6) act as repulsion forces each other.

As described above, under the situation that repulsion acts No. l permanent magnet (5) and attraction on No. 3 permanent magnet (7) in

the body (l), the dyeing fluid in the body (l) moves naturally to the dying fluid discharge outlet (4) No. 2 permanent magnet (6) which adds pressure to the dyeing fluid by piton action, is installed closely between inside and outside of the body (1) thus, preventing the dyeing fluid from leaking backward through gap. But a very small gap is allowed considering friction with inside of the body (l).

No. 3 permanent magnet (7) which generates attraction for No. 2 permanent magnet (6) so that facing sides have same polarity and pull each other, is installed inside of the dyeing fluid discharge outlet (4). But it is positioned to have opposite polarity to No. 1 permanent magnet (5), Therefore, No. 2 permanent magnet (6) that is positioned movable at the middle among three permanent nagnets moves by repulsion from No. 1 permanent magnet (5) at initial operation. But from the moment when attraction becomes stronger than repulsion, it moves toward the dyeing fluid discharge outlet (4) by attraction from No. 3 permanent magnet (7). The whole dyeing fluid in the body (1) is discharged through the dyeing fluid discharge pore (43) in the teeth (42).

When you use this hair-dyeing device, the dyeing fluid outlet (4) is sperated from the body (1) and then, adequate quantity of the dyeing fluid is filled and the dyeing fluid discharge outlet (4) is re-assembled. No. 1 permanent magnet (5) is installed in the magnet chamber (12) in the body (1) and the power switch (8) is"ON" position holding the handle (2).'I'he air intake pore (13) is open and at the same time, the vibrator (3) is actuated. then, the dyeing fluid in the body (1) is automatically discharged through the discharge pore (43) in the teeth (42) by attraction and repulsion of No. l and

No. 3 magnets (5) & (7) and vibration of the vibrator (3). The user holding the handle (2) run teeth in the dyeing fluid discharge outlet (4) through hairs to be dyed just like combing hairs with an ordinary comb. Then, the dyeing fluid is automatically applied only to hairs to be dyed.

Thereforc, user can dye easly without pollution of user's skin and surrounding.

The body (1) and the cover (41) of the dyeing fluid discharge outlet (4) are shown retangular in the Figure but the shape can be cylindrical, oval, hexgonal and octagonal. Especially the cylindrical shape is ideal.

Along with the shapes of the body and cover of the dyeing fluid discharge outlet, the shapes of No. 1 or No. 3 permanent magnets can be changeable accordingly.
