Abstract:
Provided are: a halogenated butyl rubber composition which can be low in hardness, which has excellent damping characteristics, and which has an excellent physical balance among kneadability, rollability, and crosslink formation; and an antivibration grommet that employs the composition. The halogenated butyl rubber composition includes 100 mass parts of halogenated butyl rubber, and 3-20 mass parts of a liquid unsaturated polybutadiene. In preferred practice, 0.1-5 mass parts of a fatty acid amide is contained as well. The halogenated butyl rubber composition has suitability for antivibration grommet applications.
