Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a halogenated polymer having superior heat resistance and degree of whiteness as compared to publicly known halogen-containing polymers. The present invention provides a halogenated polymer that contains bromide ions, that is represented by general formula (1), and that is characterized in that the contained amount of the bromide ions is 1-2,000 ppm. (In the formula, R represents a C1-C6 alkylene group, -S-, or -SO2-, and n represents a real number.)
