Description:
Hammer mill

The invention is a hammer mill for milling bulk materials. The hammer mill is mainly used for milling of cereals and fodder.

The suction and force hammer mill known from the Polish description P-349273 comprises a milling chamber with a beater rotor mounted on a shaft. The rotor is equipped with beaters fixed on its perimeter and is enclosed with a sieve with an inlet for granular material. There are also hammer mills known from Russian descriptions RU 53936, RU 2269249, RU 2236297, RU2200625 and RU 2202216 equipped with beaters permanently connected to the beater rotor.

The essence of the solution according to the invention is a hammer mill, whose beaters are mounted on the blades of the hammer mill rotor so that they can turn around the axes perpendicular to the blades of the beater rotor. The beaters are placed in the chucks of the beaters fitted with a pin placed in the slots of the beater rotor's blades. The beaters are mounted in the beaters chucks in a manner that allows for their rotation around the axes perpendicular to the beater chucks. The beaters are cylindrical with a wider element at one end and a protective element at some distance from that end. Wider element of the beater is a ring, while the protective element is in the form of a slot perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder. The beaters are mounted inside the slots of the beaters chucks and secured with a cotter pin. Outer surface of the beaters is made of a material that is more resistant to wear than the beater's core. The beater rotor blades are surrounded by screens in the shape of a sector of the lateral surface of the cylinder and by guards in the shape of two sectors of the lateral surfaces of the cylinder, which are connected to a rectangle. The guards are located in the covers connected with the mill housing by hinges. The hammer mill allows for effective milling of granular materials. The applied solutions enable to extend the failure-free operation of the hammer mill.

The subject matter of the invention as shown in the drawing, where Figure 1 shows the view of the beater rotor, Figure 2 - view of the beater, Figure 3 - view of the beater chuck with beaters, Figure 4 - view of the screen, Figure 5 - view of the guard, Figure 6 - view of the cover, and Figure 7 - view of the hammer mill.

The hammer mill is equipped with beaters 1 located in beater chucks 2. The beater chucks 2 are fixed to the blades of the beater rotor 3. The blades of the beater rotor 3 are mounted on a shaft 4. The blades of the beater rotor are surrounded by screens 5 and guards 6. The guards 6 are located in covers 7 connected by hinges with the hammer mill housing 8. Furthermore, the hammer mill is also equipped with a charging device 9 and an engine 10. The beaters i are mounted on the beater rotor blades 3 in a manner that allows for their rotation around the axes perpendicular to the beater rotor blades 3. The beaters chucks 2 are equipped with a pin placed in the slots of the beater rotor blades 3. The beaters 1 are mounted in the beater chucks 2 in a manner that allows for their rotation around the axes perpendicular to the beaters chucks 2. The beaters i are in the shape of a cylinder with a wider element in the form of a ring at one end and a slot perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder. The beaters 1 are placed in the slots of the beaters chucks 2 and secured with a cotter pin. The outer surface of the beaters 1 is made of the material which is more resistant to wear than the beater's core 1. The screens 5 are in the shape of a sector of the cylinder lateral surface. The guards 6 are in the shape of two sectors of the lateral surfaces of the cylinder which are connected to a rectangle.
