Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a hand drying device that makes it possible to efficiently dry washed hands while also preventing various microbes and the like contained in the water droplets adhering to the hands from scattering into the surroundings, and also to achieve a lower noise level during operation. A hand drying device 1 comprising: an insertion opening 3; a drying chamber 4; a water-catching tray 5; an exhaust duct 6; a blower motor 7; an air compression chamber 8; and a recirculation passage 11 for causing air that has been compressed in the air compression chamber 8 to recirculate to air outlets 9, 10 that open to the drying chamber 4, an air circulating flow in which the air that has been blown out of the air outlets 9, 10 to the drying chamber 4 circulating through the exhaust duct 6, the water-catching tray 5, the blower motor 7, the air compression chamber 8, the recirculation passage 11, and the air outlets 9, 10 is formed in a device body 1A in the stated order, wherein the recirculation passage 11 is formed at the periphery of the drying chamber 4. In addition, the exhaust duct 6 is extended from the drying chamber 4 vertically straight downward toward the water-catching tray 5.
