Abstract:
A handled washcloth that includes a washcloth attachment having an open end, a plurality of closed edges and a plurality of snap fasteners, the closed edges include a top edge and a pair of side edges that enclose the washcloth attachment. The handled washcloth also includes a handle with a paddle, the handle is adapted to clean a person's back and the paddle is attached to the handle via a plurality of fasteners, wherein the handled washcloth is adapted to fittedly insert the paddle into the open end of the washcloth attachment and the snap fasteners are adapted to secure the washcloth attachment onto the paddle. The handled washcloth specifically includes a bent handle that is ergonomically bent to be adapted to wash the person's own back.

Claims:
CLAIMS

What is claimed is:

1 . A handled washcloth, comprising:

a washcloth attachment having an open end, a plurality of closed edges and a plurality of snap fasteners, the closed edges include a top edge and a pair of side edges that enclose the washcloth attachment;

a handle with a paddle, the handle is adapted to clean a person's back and the paddle is attached to the handle via a plurality of fasteners; and

wherein the handled washcloth is adapted to fittedly insert the paddle into the open end of the washcloth attachment and the snap fasteners are adapted to secure the washcloth attachment onto the paddle.

2. The handled washcloth according to Claim 1 , wherein the washcloth attachment is made of cotton.

3. The handled washcloth according to Claim 1 , wherein the washcloth attachment is made of sponge.

4. The handled washcloth according to Claim 1 , wherein the washcloth attachment has a generally rectangular shape.

5. The handled washcloth according to Claim 1 , wherein the washcloth attachment has a pair of rounded corners to concentrate cleaning.

6. The handled washcloth according to Claim 1 , wherein the washcloth attachment has a pair of 90 degree corners to facilitate cleaning in corners.

7. The handled washcloth according to Claim 1 , wherein the paddle is sanitized with disinfectant to disinfect the washcloth attachment that is inserted onto the paddle.

8. The handled washcloth according to Claim 1 , wherein the handled washcloth specifically includes a straight handle.

9. The handled washcloth according to Claim 1 , wherein the handled washcloth specifically includes a bent handle that is ergonomically bent to be adapted to wash the person's own back.

10. The handled washcloth according to Claim 10, wherein the bent handle is bent in three places.

[0001 ] The present PCT patent application claims priority benefit of the U.S. Utility patent application 15404704 entitled HANDLED WASHCLOTH filed 12-JAN-2017 under 35 USC 1 1 1 (a). The contents of this related Utility application are incorporated herein by reference for all purposes to the extent that such subject matter is not inconsistent herewith or limiting hereof. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION FIELD OF THE INVENTION:

[0002] The present invention is a washcloth. More specifically, the present invention is a handled washcloth.

DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART:

[0003] A major issue that consumers face while bathing is the difficulty experienced when attempting to wash, clean and/or scrub their back. Current products available on the market such as shower/body scrubbers require users to stretch and twist their arms in uncomfortable positions in order to clean hard to reach areas, a task that can be painful, and may increase the risk of bathroom falls and/or accidents. Ingenious, practical and useful, the handled washcloth is an innovative alternative to conventional methods of reaching difficult to wash areas. [0004] What is needed is a handled washcloth that provide consumers with an item which facilitates washing, scrubbing and cleaning their backs.

[0005] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The present invention is a washcloth. More specifically, the present invention is a handled washcloth.

[0007] The handled washcloth includes a washcloth attachment having an open end, a plurality of closed edges and a plurality of snap fasteners, the closed edges include a top edge and a pair of side edges that enclose the washcloth attachment. The handled washcloth also includes a handle with a paddle, the handle is adapted to clean a person's back and the paddle is attached to the handle via a plurality of fasteners, wherein the handled washcloth is adapted to fittedly insert the paddle into the open end of the washcloth attachment and the snap fasteners are adapted to secure the washcloth attachment onto the paddle. The handled washcloth specifically includes a bent handle that is ergonomically bent to be adapted to wash the person's own back.

[0008] It is an object of the present invention to provide a handled washcloth that features an angled handle to easily reach the midsection of a person's back and snaps-on which secure the washcloth onto the paddle for effortless utilization.

[0009] It is an object of the present invention to provide a handled washcloth that is designed to be manufactured with a durable non-slip grip handle and a paddle that may be sanitized with household disinfectants.

[0010] It is an object of the present invention to provide a handled washcloth that is packaged with a set of six washcloths available in a variety of colors to meet any consumer preference. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS

[0016] Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments. [0017] Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention however the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. [0019] FIG. 1 illustrates a front view of a washcloth attachment 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.

[0020] The washcloth attachment 100 may include an open end 1 10, a plurality of closed edges 120 and a plurality of snap fasteners 130.

[0021 ] The open end 1 10 may allow a handle paddle (FIG. 2, 150) to be adapted to fittedly insert into the washcloth attachment 100. The term fittedly insert is defined as being inserted into some thing that has the same general shape to insure a relatively tight fit. The closed edges 120 may include a top edge 120A and a pair of side edges 120B of the washcloth attachment 100 that enclose the washcloth attachment 100. The snap fasteners 130 may be adapted to secure the washcloth attachment 100 onto the handle paddle 150 once the washcloth attachment 100 is inserted onto the handle paddle 150.

[0022] The washcloth attachment 100 may be made of cotton, sponge or any other suitable material and may be reusable and machine washable. The washcloth attachment 100 may have a generally rectangular shape or other suitable shape as well as a pair of rounded corners 100A to concentrate cleaning and a pair of 90 degree corners 100B to facilitate cleaning in corners.

[0023] FIG. 2 illustrates a front view of a handle 140 with a paddle 150, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.

[0024] The handle 140 may be an elongated rounded handle 140A or other suitable handle that may be adapted to clean a person's back. The paddle 150 may be attached to the handle 140 via a plurality of fasteners 142 such as one or more screws, one or more bolts (all not shown) or other suitable fasteners. The paddle 150 may also be sanitized with disinfectant to disinfect any washcloth attachment 100 that is inserted onto the paddle.

[0025] FIG. 3 illustrates a front view of a handled washcloth 160, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.

[0026] The handled washcloth 160 may be adapted to fittedly insert the paddle 150 into the open end 1 10 of the washcloth attachment 100. The snap fasteners 130 may be adapted to secure the washcloth attachment 100 onto the paddle 150. The handled washcloth 160 may specifically include a straight handle 140A or other suitable handle.

[0027] FIG. 4 illustrates a front view of a bent handled washcloth 170, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.

[0028] The bent handled washcloth 170 may include a bent handle 172 that is ergonomically bent to be adapted to wash a person's own back. More specifically, the bent handle 172 is bent in three places to be adapted to wash a person's own back.

[0029] The bent handled washcloth 170 is easy to use. A person may simply insert the washcloth attachment 100 onto the paddle 150 to facilitate reaching and scrubbing various parts of a person's body without having to stretch and/or bend their arms in awkward positions that may cause strain and injuries. The bent handled washcloth 170 may be essential for the physically challenged as well as the everyday consumer and may be readily available at bath and body supply stores, retail department stores and online retailers.

[0030] While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention may be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.
