Abstract:
The present application relates to the field of communications. Disclosed are a handover method, apparatus and system, used for achieving a handover of a relay UE and a remote UE between different eNBs. The handover method comprises: when a remote UE communicates with a network side by means of a relay UE, a common source eNB of the remote UE and the relay UE determines to carry out a handover of the relay UE to a target eNB according to a measurement report from the relay UE; the source eNB sends a first handover requirement message to a source MME of the relay UE; the source eNB sends a second handover requirement message to a source MME of the remote UE; the source MMEs receive the handover requirement messages from the common source eNB of the relay UE and the remote UE; the source MMEs send mobility management context of the remote UE and mobility management context of the relay UE to a target MME to which the target eNB belongs; the target MME receives a redirection request message from the source MMEs; and the target MME sends information of the remote UE and information of the relay UE to the target eNB. Embodiments of the present application are applicable to an X2 handover or an S1 handover.
