Abstract:
Disclosed is a handpiece allowing for the forward-backward and vertical movement of an ultrasound catheter. The handpiece is configured such that an ultrasound catheter installed in the handpiece can be selectively moved back and forth by a certain distance in a straight line in a front-rear direction so that the ultrasound catheter can perform an ultrasound procedure at uniform intervals across a large area for the procedure. In addition, the convenience of using the handpiece is increased because the handpiece is configured such that the subcutaneous depth, at which the ultrasound generated from the ultrasound catheter installed in the handpiece is to be focused, can be freely changed, without having to exchange cartridges containing ultrasound catheters having different focal distances.
