Abstract:
A handrail above the cage of an elevator comprising an extension handrail connected to the body of a handrail unit and is displaceable between a contraction position and an extension position. When the extension handrail is displaced from the contraction position to the extension position, the range being surrounded by the body of the handrail unit and the extension handrail is extended.
