Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a handrail for a moving passage enabling confirmation
of the running direction of the moving passage such as an escalator from diagonal
direction as well as from a distant position. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS]
This handrail (11) comprises a core (111) (made of canvas, steel cord, etc.)
and an elastic body (112) (made of styrene butadiene rubber or the like)for covering
the core. A composite band-like body (21) having a plurality of band-like parts
with different brightness in the longitudinal direction (low-brightness band-like
part (211), medium-brightness band-like part (212), high-brightness band-like
part (213)) is repeatedly provided on the surface of the elastic body in the longitudinal
direction. The difference in respective brightness indicated by the L*a*b*
color system is 10 to 40. The color phases of respective band-like parts are the
same.
