Abstract:
A HUD image display unit (20) for displaying a display image (I) adjusts the display position of the display image (I) according to a driver's eyeball position (EP) detected by an eyeball position detection unit (50). Therefore, even if the eyeball position (EP) changes, the display image (I) can be moved to an appropriate position. The eyeball position detection unit (50) is disposed so as not to overlap with the optical axis (R) of a light beam for the HUD image display unit (20) to display the display image (I). Therefore, the display image (I) can be prevented from being blocked by the eyeball position detection unit (50). Further, the eyeball position detection unit (50) is provided on the surface of an instrument panel (40). Therefore, the eyeball position detection unit (50) can be disposed in the vicinity of the optical axis (R). As a result, the influence of the offset between the position of the eyeball position detection unit (50) and the optical axis (R) on the error of detection of the eyeball position (EP) is reduced. Moreover, it becomes easier that the eyeball position detection unit (50) is disposed so as not to overlap with the optical axis (R).
