Abstract:
Disclosed is a headrest for operating tables, which is adjustable by means of a motor and comprises a head plate (12) that is disposed at one end of a curved support shaft (24). Said support shaft (24) is guided in an adjustable manner between three rollers (26, 28, 30) along a support which can be connected to the operating table on a plane that runs perpendicular to the bending axis, said rollers (26, 28, 30) being located at a distance from each other in the direction of adjustment. The tracks (32, 34, 36) for the rollers (26, 28, 30), which are embodied on the support shaft (24), are formed such that the momentary bending centers thereof coincide with the momentary center of rotation of the head movement during raising and lowering of a patient's head (14) that lies on the head plate (12) in each position of the support shaft (24).
