Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an antimicrobial preparation having as an active ingredient a bacteriocin capable of exhibiting an antimicrobial effect against fungi. Provided is a health care composition including (A) a bacteriocin, and (B) a plant extract, in which the mass ratio of component (A) to component (B), (A):(B) is 1:2 to 800. The bacteriocin is preferably a nisin or lacticin, the plant is preferably a Rosaceae plant, Rutaceae plant, Labiatae plant, or Gramineae plant.
